The Challenge

Siemens AG's APAC leadership team required a high-stakes 3-city roadshow designed to simultaneously serve as a market intelligence tour, team cohesion programme, and client relationship event. The complexity was significant: 35 C-suite executives including the APAC CEO, CFO, and five Regional Presidents required concurrent coordination across three sovereign countries with different cultural protocols, languages, and business etiquette. Siemens' internal team had previously found multi-city programmes in Asia too complex to self-manage, resulting in a disjointed 2022 tour that required mid-trip crisis management.

Our Approach

Explera DMC assigned three dedicated city-leads (Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok) who coordinated through a shared operations platform in real time. We engaged our local Japan, Korea, and Thailand networks to deliver experiences impossible to access without long-standing in-country relationships: a private tour of Siemens' industrial automation partner facilities in Osaka, an exclusive Samsung C&T boardroom networking dinner in Seoul, and a private Thai government ministerial lunch in Bangkok. A bilingual (English + German) programme director was embedded with the group for all 8 days.

Execution

Every transition between cities was seamless — all 35 executives travelled on coordinated business class flights with pre-cleared check-in and dedicated lounge access. In Tokyo, we secured a private evening kaiseki experience at a 3-Michelin-star Ginza restaurant — the first private-group booking they had accepted in two years. In Seoul, our team coordinated a full-day itinerary combining Samsung facility access with a private hanbok cultural tea ceremony. Bangkok delivered the strategic leadership alignment session in a private pavilion at a riverside luxury resort, followed by a Chao Phraya river dinner cruise at sunset.
